Süheyla Noyan is an interdisciplinary artist and filmmaker. She holds an MFA in Cinema from Binghamton University, an LLB from Selçuk University, and a BA in Sociology from Atatürk University. Before turning to filmmaking, she practiced law while actively engaging in theatre and community arts initiatives.
Her artistic practice delves into the quiet textures of everyday life, exploring the complexities of the individual through language, memory, and intimacy. Working with hybrid forms, she utilizes both 16mm and digital media to trace overlooked narratives that may not seek to be seen but deserve attention.
During her graduate studies at Binghamton, she gained extensive curatorial and teaching experience, first as a teaching assistant and later as an instructor. Her films have been recognized internationally, receiving the Social Impact Award at the Sabancı Foundation Short Film Competition and the Women’s Rights Award at the Très Court Film Festival.
