Süheyla Noyan is a multidisciplinary artist and filmmaker with a background in sociology and legal practice. She holds an MFA in Cinema from Binghamton University, an LLB from Selçuk University, and a Bachelor of Sociology from Atatürk University.
Her artistic practice often lingers in the quiet textures of everyday life, and the complexity of human experience through language, memory, and intimacy. Exploring the fragility of individuals within wider structures, Süheyla embraces hybrid forms such as documentary and fiction, utilizing both 16mm and digital media. Her works trace often-overlooked narratives that may not seek to be seen but deserve attention.
During her graduate studies at Binghamton University, she gained teaching experience by serving as a teaching assistant, and continues to teach a summer course. With past experience in film curation, Süheyla actively continues her artistic production. Her films have received international accolades, including the Social Impact Award at the Sabancı Foundation Short Film Competition and a Women's Rights Award at the Trés Court Film Festival.
